Briyani for your TUMMIES?

By Daryl Ang

Out of places to go? Can’t decide what to eat? Well for our first post, we’re featuring food so good that you won’t expect in a food court, so pay attention to this! This Wednesday we found one hidden gem at the Food Canopy (a.k.a The Lawn) in Republic Polytechnic, feast your eyes on this:

Don’t be turned off by the seemingly long queues, for what awaits you at the end of the line is truly worth the effort. The Lawn’s Nasi Briyani is so good- it’s not surprising that the queues stretch from east to west.

The popular Indian dish served here consists of one tender, golden-fried chicken with aromatic briyani rice that’s been seasoned with cucumbers and red chillies for the extra punch. It is the kind of dish that makes you want to mop the plate clean. Just four dollars for a plate of heavenly goodness.

  1. Tried the briyani the other day. It was AWESOME! Truly worth paying $4 for a plate filled of briyani rice and delicious chicken :)
